Obituary Kimberly Hayne

Kimberly Sue Hayne (née Lundin) formerly of Lansing, IL, was a loving daughter to her parents Sandra and the late Donald; sister to Tracy, Mark, and the late Robert; and aunt to Kyle, Emily, Chloe, and Iris. Kimberly was also a loving and devoted mother to her two children Lara and Evan Hayne.

Born in La Porte, Indiana, she would graduate high school in Lansing, IL, before attending the University of Illinois. She would go in blind her freshman year, and in doing so, she would meet up with lifelong friends. After graduation, she eventually moved to Michigan where she raised two wonderful children, and would remain to support them until they each graduated from college. She would then relocate to the Chicagoland Area to assist her parents in their later years.

Throughout her life, Kimberly showed her commitment to those closest to her, and would never hesitate to put those she cared for ahead of herself. Those around her would remark on how her eyes would light up when speaking about Evan’s many adventures, as well as the life being built by Lara and her fiance, Brett Diem. Kim’s charming personality and caring spirit made her an endless source of joy and comfort to those around her.

The memorial service will be held at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home at a future date to be determined. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home has been entrusting with the arrangement and care of Kimberly.
