Half-staff flags: Honoring fallen Lieutenant Kevin P. Ward and EMT Connor Mandeville-Rakers

United States and Illinois flags half-staff Saturday through Wednesday

The Department of Central Management Services has received notice from Governor JB Pritzker that all person or entities covered by the Illinois Flag Display Act are to fly the flags at half-staff in honor and remembrance of:

  • Emergency Medical Technician Connor Mandeville-Rakers of the LeRoy Emergency Ambulance Service

Please lower the United States flags and the State flags at all buildings occupied by your agency’s personnel from:

  • Sunrise on Saturday, September 9, 2023, to Sunset on Monday, September 11, 2023

Additionally, all person or entities covered by the Illinois Flag Display Act are to fly the flags at half-staff in honor and remembrance of:

  • Lieutenant and Emergency Medical Technician Kevin P. Ward of the Chicago Fire Department

Please lower the United States flags and the State flags at all buildings occupied by your agency’s personnel from:

  • Sunrise on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, to Sunset on Wednesday, September 13, 2023
