Obituary Bruce Fredbloom

Bruce Fredbloom, 64, of Lansing passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2023. Bruce is survived by his wife of 39 years, Leigh Anne Fredbloom (Flowers), his son Ben (Brittney) Fredbloom, sisters Roxann (Albert) Treftz and Karen Angel, mother-in-law Nannette Flowers, brother and sister-in-law Kevin and Jill (Flowers) Lawrence, nieces and nephews Allison (Dave) Interdonato, Ryan (Katie) Treftz, Frank (Jackie) Ward, Luke Angel, Logan Angel, Nick (Angela) Lawrence, and Matt (Blaire) Lawrence. He was the very loving and proud grandfather of granddaughter Harper Anne Fredbloom. Bruce is preceded in death by his daughter Emily Fredbloom, his parents Conrad and Betty Fredbloom, and his father-in-law Gene Flowers.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a memorial service immediately following with Pastor G. Morris K. Jarkloh, Jr., and Pastor David Price officiating at the First United Methodist Church, 18420 Burnham Ave., Lansing, Illinois.

Bruce was born in Hammond, Indiana, and raised in Lansing. He was a graduate of Thornton Fractional South High School where he enjoyed playing on the basketball team. He also was a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He worked in sales and logistics for various logistic companies, finally retiring from UPS in 2022. Bruce attended the First United Methodist Church of Lansing. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan who loved gardening, golf, and spending time and playing with his granddaughter, Harper. He enjoyed working on his yard and gardens and visiting with many great neighbors and friends. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by many. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and care of Bruce. In lieu of flowers, if so inclined, Bruce’s charities are:
