Friday: Air Quality Alert continues through Friday

LANSING, Ill. (June 22, 2023) — The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has designated an Air Pollution Action Day for the greater Chicago Metropolitan Area through Friday night, June 23. Widespread ozone and/or particulate levels are expected to be at unhealthy levels, especially for younger or more sensitive groups. Friday will be mostly cloudy, with only a 5% chance of rain and a high of 82 degrees.
