The Lansing Area Chamber’s annual Golf Outing provides a new opportunity for building community

LANSING, Ill. (June 16, 2023) – Josh and Melanie are not golfers. Josh owns a set of clubs. Melanie has volunteered at other company golf outings. And that is pretty much the extent of their golfing experience.

But as a member of the Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce, The Lansing Journal wants to support Chamber activities. So on Friday, June 16, Josh and Melanie took to the links and participated in the Chamber’s annual golf outing. It turned out to be another celebration of community.

Josh and Melanie would like to say a special thank-you to the other members of their golfing foursome, Christian Moody and her son Solomon Johnson. Christian works for Tri-State Village in Lansing and is a Chamber member. Solomon is 12 years old and already a solid golfer. Their patience and good humor made the golf outing a lot of fun for a couple of newbies.
