LANSING, Ill. (September 27, 2022) — Below are the most recent scores for the TF South Red Wolves:
Golf
Thursday, September 22
Opponents: South Suburban Blue Conference Tournament
Result: The Red Wolves took fourth place overall at the tournament
TFS Senior Ryan Avenatti earned All-Conference Honors at the South Suburban Blue Conference Tournament at Old Oak Country Club in Homer Glen.
“Ryan’s outstanding round helped the Red Wolves finish 4th overall. Freshman Anthony Gianoli, senior Ethan Modjeski, sophomore Ryan Marnell, junior Andrew Danehl, and senior Nicholas Rincon also contributed for TF South,” said coach Matt Johnson.
The Red Wolves will compete at regionals on Wednesday, September 28.
The JV Golf team finished fifth overall at the tournament to end its season. The team was led by Jacob Lindsey, Mekhi Tompkins, Matthew Bell, E’mon Arnold, and TJ Smith.
Football
Friday, September 24
Opponents: Hillcrest High School
Result: The Red Wolves lost to Hillcrest 22-13
TFS was first on the board in the game with an 11-yard run from Christian Streeter. After two scores from Hillcrest, the halftime score was 14-7.
After a Red Wolves score in the third and a failed two-point conversion, Hillcrest added a final score in the fourth quarter for a game score of 22-13.
Christian Streeter ran for 136 yards and threw for 39 yards, leading the offense. On the defensive side, the Red Wolves were led by Brandon Woods — who notched an interception, and Trayvonne Roberts — who recovered a fumble. Cortez Jones and Kenyon Peoples each had a sack and two tackles for a loss.
TF South’s next game is Friday at home vs. Evergreen Park. The game is TF South’s annual homecoming game.
