SSC to host district championship game on Saturday, March 5

SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (March 3, 2022) – The South Suburban College (SSC) Men’s Basketball Team defeated Illinois Valley Community College on Sunday, February 27 to continue its historic, undefeated run. The Bulldogs earned home court advantage for the National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) Region IV District 3 Championship Game to be held on Saturday, March 5 at 2 p.m. vs. Waubonsee Community College at the SSC Fitness Center/Fieldhouse. The game will be streamed live on the SSC Athletics YouTube channel.

The 2021-22 SSC Bulldogs regular season record of 28-0 marks its first undefeated season in school history. It is the first time an SSC Men’s Basketball Team finished as the #1 ranked team in the final NJCAA Division II poll. The winner of Saturday’s game will advance to the NJCAA Division II National Championship Tournament at Danville Area Community College from March 15-19, 2022.
