Over 6,000 new confirmed cases in Illinois

LANSING, Ill. (October 28, 2020) – This post includes data for the Village of Lansing and data visuals for the state of Illinois.
The South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association has created a COVID dashboard aggregating data from villages throughout the south suburbs. Highlights from Lansing are listed below:
- Cumulative total of COVID-19 cases: 1,091 (Previous day’s total: 1,081)
- Cumulative total of COVID-19 deaths: 12 (Previous day’s total: 12)
- Current positivity rate: 8.64% (Previous day’s rate: 8.6%)

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today reported 6,110 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 51 additional deaths.
IDPH now includes both molecular and antigen tests in the number of statewide total tests performed in Illinois.
