CRESTWOOD, Ill. (May 5, 2019) – The ninth annual Elim Eagles’ Wings 5K Run, Walk, & Roll will take place on Saturday, May 11, on the grounds of Elim Christian Services and the surrounding neighborhood. The annual 5K is a fundraiser that helps provide essential resources for children and adults with disabilities. Elim hopes to raise over $50,000 through this year’s event to fund equipment, program, and facility needs for over 475 lives.
Participants can choose between a timed 5K course or an untimed short loop course (1 mile), both of which begin and end on Elim’s campus. Registered runners will receive official times for the 5K. Registered participants receive a free T-shirt that promotes the “80s” theme of this year’s event.
Wheelchairs, strollers, and service dogs are welcome to participate; however, roller blades, bikes, and non-service dogs are not permitted for the safety of Elim’s children, adults, and event participants.
