SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (July 24, 2019) – The Village of South Holland is hosting its Town Center Social and Cruise Night on Saturday, July 27, 2019. The event will feature live music, food vendors, kids activities, and—new this year—a display of unique cars lining South Park Avenue.

The event takes place at Town Center Commons, 16113 South Park Ave., from 4:00–8:00pm. Admission and activities are free, and food is available for purchase.

Activities for kids include bounce houses, face painting, and a bubble station. Live Motown hits will be provided by Connie Wilson and Sweet Harmony, featuring the Fantasy Band, a South Holland-based group that performs all over the United States.

The Cruise Night portion is new to this annual event. Car enthusiasts are invited to bring unique cars for display—antiques as well as newer models—and event participants of all ages are invited to stroll South Park Avenue, viewing the cars and talking with the owners.

“The Town Center Social and Cruise Night is an evening full of activities that encourage family and friends to get outside and enjoy time together,” said Julia Perla Huisman, Communications, Branding & Marketing Manager for the Village. “We are looking forward to seeing an array of beautiful cars lining our beautiful downtown, and for attendees to enjoy good food, good music, and family fun.”

Saturday’s event is one of two Town Center Social and Cruise Nights planned. The next one will take place on August 24, 2019, with variation in some of the vendors and activities.
