Hopes to officially reopen soon
LANSING, Ill. (July 5, 2023) – Until July 1, Greenway Bikehouse — Lansing’s only bike shop — was operating out of the Visible Music College building, which is owned by the Village. They have now moved their inventory to a new location, 18418 Wentworth Avenue, which was formerly the site of Waters Edge Gift, Garden, and Pond Center. Owner Cam Harvey is waiting for his business license to be renewed under the new address before he officially reopens for business.
Preparing the new space has involved painting the walls “Greenway green” and working with Towne Interiors (3219 Ridge Road, Lansing) to install new flooring in the main showroom and update the restroom.
The bike shop is renting just part of the building; the other tenant is Creative Custom Cabinets. The two businesses each have their own indoor space, and they will share the outdoor space that Waters Edge once used to display pond layouts and landscaping plants.
Harvey is hoping the business license renewal will come through soon. He was planning to serve customers from the new location beginning July 5, but a July 5 post on the Greenway Bikehouse Facebook page said, “Good morning! Unfortunately, we are facing delays in reopening at our new location, so we will not be opening as planned today. Stay tuned!”
Greenway Bikehouse is now located at 18418 Wentworth Avenue in Lansing, along the Pennsy Greenway trail:

This is awesome I love to hear this news about Lansing.
ALSO, what about the village auctioning properties in Lansing? When is an article going to come out about that?
Thanks for a great job!
