Local elections
Informed citizens understand that elected officials are in a position to build community through strategic budget decisions, consistent enforcement of ordinances, development of programs, and casting vision for the long-term public good. Every two years, Lansing residents have the opportunity to vote for the Park Board, the Library Board, Sunnybrook District 171 School Board, District 158 School Board, Thornton Fractional District 215 School Board, Community College District 510 Board, and Village Board. Information about those local elections is included in this category of news posts.
