Is your street on the list for the 2024 Pavement Management Program?

LANSING, Ill. (June 6, 2024) – On Tuesday, June 4, the Lansing Village Board Committee of the Whole meeting included a first draft of the proposed streets that will be resurfaced as part of the Village’s pavement management program for 2024.

Village Engineer Jeff Pintar presented the list to the board, saying that he and Village Administrator Dan Podgorski had driven around Lansing examining roads, using a recent pavement survey provided by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning as a guide.

“We’ll be resurfacing approximately two miles of roads,” Pintar said, acknowledging that there are “more streets than there are funds.”

In addition to the resurfacing, about 20 additional streets have been selected for “small, targeted patches here and there,” he said.

At the May 21 Village Board meeting, Pintar said the 2023 Pavement Management Program had been nearly completed, resulting in 2.25 miles of Lansing’s road being repaired. The 2023 program was extended into 2024 due to material and cost limitations in 2023.

Pintar told trustees any suggestions they had about the list below would be welcome. Contact information for trustees is available at VillageofLansing.org.
