Journal Java Journeys: Lauren Jahn

LANSING, Ill. (July 16, 2023) – Journal subscriber Lauren Jahn grew up in Lansing and still participates in community life — Common Ground, Fox Pointe events, Wine Walks, the Good Neighbor Day Parade. “It is exciting to be involved,” she wrote in an earlier email. “It is amazing how much Lansing does for their community. I don’t have to miss out because I’m always welcomed there!”

Enjoying Journal Java Chip at Gayety’s is her latest example of community involvement, complete with a photo submission to our Journal Java Journeys feature.

Lauren Jahn is a little camera shy, so she made the ice cream the star of her Journal Java Journey submission. “It was so good!” she said. “Too much though.” (Journal Java selfie: Lauren Jahn)

Available only in Lansing

That’s right readers, Journal Java Chip ice cream is available only in Lansing, only at Gayety’s (3306 Ridge Road). And for every Journal Java Chip purchase, Gayety’s is donating a portion of the proceeds to The Lansing Journal. It’s a delicious way to support two local businesses.
