Fireworks light up Lansing on Independence Day Eve

LANSING, Ill. (July 3, 2023) – Perfect temperatures greeted fireworks fans as they arrived at Lan-Oak Park Monday night. After hundreds had gathered both in and around the park, the Lan-Oak Park District’s firework display split the night sky with vibrant and sonic shapes and colors.

    • When did the 4th become the 3rd in Lansing? Of all the 20 years I’ve been a resident, this is new for the town to host the show on the 3rd.
I think the village wanted to avoid large crowds like in 2022. I am glad some people knew about it and was able to enjoy the festivities and promote their services. Hopefully I can make it next year!
