LANSING, Ill. (June 14, 2023) – Readers like Janice Schurman know that Journal Java Chip ice cream is a flavor experience unique to Lansing and available only at Gayety’s. But we appreciate her efforts to “Journalize” the ice cream she and her family did enjoy while vacationing in Kentucky.

Java
“We went to get ice cream on our trip to Kentucky, but they did not have any java chip,” explained Janice Schurman. “Here is our picture with the digital Journal. I am taking the picture. Dave is on the left then Josh, Sydney, I am on the right, then Katelynn, Ezra on her lap, and Nathan.” (Photo: Janice Schurman)

Available only in Lansing

That’s right readers, Journal Java Chip ice cream is available only in Lansing, only at Gayety’s (3306 Ridge Road). And for every Journal Java Chip purchase, Gayety’s is donating a portion of the proceeds to The Lansing Journal. It’s a delicious way to support two local businesses.

OR, take a photo with your order of Journal Java Chip — in a dish or a cone. Bonus points if you get the ice cream and the poster in the same photo!
