LANSING, Ill. (June 1, 2023) — Air quality conditions are expected to be in the “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” category for Friday, June 2, according to the national Air Quality Index. The Illinois EPA has issued an air quality forecast of “Orange” or “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” for all of Illinois until 5 p.m. June 2 and is encouraging Illinois residents to use caution when outdoors. Friday’s high temp is forecast to reach 84 sunny degrees.
