Northwest Indiana Symphony to conclude season with ‘Movie Magic’ concerts

Final concerts of 2022-23 season scheduled for June 8 and 9

MUNSTER, Ind. (May 19, 2023) – Northwest Indiana Symphony and conductor Kirk Muspratt are inviting the public out as they conclude their 2022-2023 season with “Movie Magic.” The final two performances are Thursday, June 8, and Friday, June 9 both at 7:30 p.m. at the Auditorium at Living Hope Church.

The concert will include music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Raging Bull, Maltese Falcon, James Bond, Avengers: Endgame, and other films.

The concert will feature violinist Esme Arias-Kim, a 17-year-old violinist and winner of the 2023 Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artists Competition. She will perform the third movement from Korngold’s swashbuckling Hollywood Concerto.

“Esme is such a phenomenal talent, and we can’t wait to share her with you,” said Maestro Muspratt. “So much great movie and entertainment music!”
