Richard Keith Lotz, age 55 of Dolton, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Richard is survived by brothers Tommy Lotz and Jason Lotz, his sister Eleanor Canter (Mike) Tomczak, and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his dad Jacob Lotz and his sister Janice (Canter) Linn.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM with services immediately following at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Richard will be laid to rest at Oakland Memory Lanes, Dolton, Illinois. Burial will be private.
Richard was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed the outdoors and had a great passion for fishing and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed playing hockey and loved watching the Chicago Black Hawks, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Bears. He enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years, and he always loved to compete. But most importantly to Richard was taking care of his dad in his later years. You could always count on Richard to be there when dad needed help, and that lasted many years. Richard was loved by many, and he will be truly missed.
