Investigation underway after armed robbery in Gordon Food Service parking lot

LANSING, Ill. (April 12, 2023) – On Wednesday April 12, 2023, at 12:05 p.m., the Lansing Police Department responded to Gordon Food Service, 2330 173rd Street, for the report of a robbery. It was learned that several armed subjects forcefully took United States Currency from a Loomis Armored Car employee in the parking lot and fled the scene in a vehicle.

At this time, it is unclear how much money was taken. No injuries were reported. Additional information will be released as it becomes available. The incident is being actively investigated by the Lansing Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.).
