Lansing Clean Up Day set for Saturday, April 22

Registration deadline is April 19

LANSING, Ill. (April 10, 2023) – The annual Lansing Clean Up Day will take place on Earth Day, April 22, when volunteers will spread across the Village and spend two hours cleaning up litter.

“Lansing’s annual community cleanup day is a great opportunity for folks to get outside, make new friends, and get a sense of pride for making a visual difference in our village,” said Lansing Village Clerk Payne in a press release. “It only takes two hours of your time, and we even feed you lunch afterward. Come out and be a solution to the pollution!”

Registration is required for the event, which starts at Fox Pointe with sign-in from 9 – 9:45 a.m. Participants will be assigned their clean up areas and be provided with equipment before starting at 10 a.m. The day will end at noon with a barbecue lunch at Fox Pointe.

Clerk Payne and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago Commissioner Mariyana T. Spyropoulos are co-sponsoring the event.

The deadline to volunteer is April 19. Volunteers can register online here or in person at the Lansing Municipal Center, 3141 Ridge Road.
