Héctor Lugo, 65, of Lansing, Illinois passed into glorious eternal life on April 2, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife (el amor de su vida) Isabel Lugo.

Survived by his loving children: daughter Naomi (Alfredo Sandoval), daughter Nellie (David Sandoval), daughter Elizabeth Lugo, and son Hector (Lucy).

Survived by 11 grandchildren: Valerie Sandoval, Melaney Sandoval, David Alejandro Sandoval, Madelynn Sandoval, Emily Lugo, Abigail Sandoval, Hector Lugo lll, Natalie Sandoval, Miguel Sandoval, Noel Lugo, Gabriella Lugo.

Survived by his mother Elvira Castañeda, and his brothers: Antonio Lugo, Francisco Castañeda, José Terrazas, Jesse Terrazas (Jackie).

Survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many friends.

Héctor came to this country with nothing and accomplished so much. He instilled the value of hard work, sacrifice, and determination to those who knew him. He was the life of the party, always generous, humorous and loving. He was full of great life lessons and advice. He loved God, his family, nature, and exercise. He fought strong through his battle with cancer and will forever be our hero. Hector will be greatly missed by all who love him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 2:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 6, at 10 am at Lady of Knock at 501 163rd St, Calumet City, IL 60409.


Héctor Lugo, de 65 años, de Lansing, Illinois, pasó a la gloriosa vida eterna el 2 de abril de 2023 rodeado de familiares y amigos.

Le sobrevive su esposa (el amor de su vida) Isabel Lugo.

Le sobreviven sus amados hijos: Hija Noemí (Alfredo Sandoval), hija Nellie (David Sandoval), hija Elizabeth Lugo e hijo Héctor (Lucy).

Le sobreviven 11 nietos: Valerie Sandoval, Melaney Sandoval, David Alejandro Sandoval, Madelynn Sandoval, Emily Lugo, Abigail Sandoval, Hector Lugo lll, Natalie Sandoval, Miguel Sandoval, Noel Lugo, Gabriella Lugo.

Le sobrevive su madre: Elvira Castañeda y Hermanos: Antonio Lugo, Francisco Castañeda, José Terrazas, Jesse Terrazas(Jackie).

Le sobreviven muchas sobrinas, sobrinos, cunados y muchos amigos.

Héctor vino a este país sin nada y logró mucho. Inculcó el valor del trabajo duro, el sacrificio y la determinación a quienes lo conocieron. Era el alma de la fiesta, siempre generoso, humorístico y amoroso. Estaba lleno de grandes lecciones de vida y consejos. Amaba a Dios, a su familia, a la naturaleza y al ejercicio. Luchó fuerte en su batalla contra el cáncer y siempre será nuestro héroe. Héctor será extrañado mucho por todos los que lo aman.

El velorio se realizará el miércoles 5 de abril de 2023 de 2:00 a 8:00 pm. en Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN. La misa se celebrará el jueves 6 de abril a las 10 am en Lady of Knock en 501 163rd St, Calumet City, IL 60409.
