A visit to Blue Island Newspaper Printing to see the presses rolling

by Josh Bootsma

LANSING, Ill. (March 10, 2023) – Journal Publisher Melanie Jongsma and Managing Editor Josh Bootsma couldn’t miss a chance to see the Voter Guide print issue on the press at Blue Island Newspaper Printing this week. Bob Ogle walked us through the printing floor to watch the printing process in action:

Are you one of the people who “get it”?

The Lansing Journal is grateful for people who “get it,” who understand why this March print issue is important. Many people have already given money to help cover the extra costs of ink, paper, and postage. They also understand that we have paid extra reporters who wrote stories that are included in this print issue. We are grateful for their support.

But we don’t want to leave anyone out! If you are excited about this printed newspaper that will reach everyone in our community in the next few days, you can be part of its success. Though the print issue is already printed, you can still make a special gift to The Lansing Journal, specifically to help cover the special costs of being in print.
