A Candidate Forum, a Common Ground meeting, a print issue, and more — thank you, February supporters

It was a short month with a long list of community-building opportunities

LANSING, Ill. (March 1, 2023) – When you support this community newspaper, you get much more than local news delivered right to your inbox every day. February was proof of that.

Last night’s Candidate Forum was moderated by The Lansing Journal, and attendees told us it was helpful and informative.

Earlier this month, we met with people in The Lansing Journal’s Common Ground program, and they listed ways they have been building relationships with each other and the broader community.

And right at the beginning of February, we published our plans for a print edition of The Lansing Journal that will be delivered to every home in Lansing by mid-March, so that more people in our village can be informed and connected.

When you give to The Lansing Journal, you are helping to cover the costs of reporting, publishing, and delivering local news every day. But you’re doing much more than that.

You are investing in a newspaper that is invested in this community. We moderated the Candidate Forum because we want people to know the people they can choose to elect. We sponsor Common Ground because we believe our diverse community needs opportunities to ask each other questions. And we’re publishing a print edition because we know people miss having an actual paper delivered to their door, and we know print is a good way to reach every community member.

The people listed below are the people who make all that community-building possible. And during this short but incredibly busy month, we want to express our gratitude for their investment.
