Estimated property tax levy, Tru Hotel special use request – Village Board agendas 12/6/22

LANSING, Ill. (December 4, 2022) – The December 6 Lansing Village Board meetings begin at 7 p.m. with the regular board meeting, which is directly followed by the Committee of the Whole meeting.

Meeting location

Lansing Village Board meetings usually begin at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at the Police and Court Complex (Lansing Police Department), 2710 170th Street, Lansing.

Open Meetings Act

The Open Meetings Act requires that “An agenda for each regular meeting shall be posted at the principal office of the public body and at the location where the meeting is to be held at least 48 hours in advance of the holding of the meeting.” The Village of Lansing posts agendas and minutes from public meetings in the “Documents” section of their website, and copies are usually emailed to The Lansing Journal as well.

  1. Do you have any information on Real Estate property tax bills? Assessor’s office say they were mailed Nov. 30.

    Do you know of a website that lists church concerts this month? I heard there was one in South Holland of the Messiah last night but I had other plans.

    • Thanks for your questions, Donna. I can tell you personally that I just received my tax bill a couple days ago, so maybe yours will arrive soon as well. I signed up for USPS Informed Delivery a while ago, and I find that very helpful for ensuring that I don’t miss any important mail.       I don’t know of any website currently listing church concerts, but churches are welcome to send their info to [email protected] so we can share it with our readers.
