LANSING, Ill. (November 6, 2022) – Saturday, November 5, marked the grand opening of a new Hickory Farms store in Lansing. Located at 17643 Torrence Avenue, in what was once a Wolf Camera shop, Hickory Farms is a pop-up store, occupying the space only during the holiday shopping season.
Once a popular mall-based gourmet food gift retailer, Hickory Farms began focusing on internet and catalog sales in 2000. The brand is known particularly for its collections of summer sausages and cheeses, though it has also added chocolates, cupcakes, and wines to its offerings.
Lansing resident Patricia Stepp was hired as store manager at the Lansing location. She leads a new team, all chosen by Jim Moore to ensure the success of the enterprise.

Moore says that the various gourmet food collections are ideal not only for holiday gifts and gatherings, but also for casual get-togethers like parties and watching the game.
The hours of the Lansing location are different from what is currently posted on the Hickory Farms website. The store is actually open:
- Mon – Sat: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Sun: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Hickory Farms is located at 17643 Torrence Avenue in Lansing, Illinois, now through January 15, 2023. The store is hiring additional workers for the holiday season. Specific listings can be found on indeed.com.
