LANSING, Ill. (November 1, 2022) – Earlier this month I finished inputting Lansing Journal data into spreadsheets that are being uploaded into our new data management system. Not only am I thankful that this step of the transition is completed (8,832 rows of data in two spreadsheets!), but also I am grateful for all the people who have invested in this little newspaper.
I’m used to looking at our income month by month. And I’m used to publishing a monthly thank-you post to express my gratitude publicly. That monthly discipline is useful and important, but the monthly view is really just a snapshot. Having everyone’s history compiled creates an album that tells a bigger story about this journey we are on together.
We are heading into a season specifically dedicated to feeling thankful, and I want to express my thanks again. The people listed below are just the people who supported us in October — there are hundreds of others whose gifts throughout our history have brought us where we are today. I’m thankful for all of that. And I’m thankful for the new system we are transitioning into, because I think it will help me keep that big picture front-and-center all the time.
