MUNSTER, Ind. (October 17, 2022) – The Munster High School auditorium has a capacity of 1,078, and it was nearly full for a Monday-night concert featuring the music of the Four Seasons, the Beach Boys, and Neil Diamond. The performers were the Atlantic City Boys, and their show was part of the 2022-2023 series by Lakeshore Community Concerts.

The Atlantic City Boys specialize in “boy band” rock-n-roll from the 1950s and 1960s, an era of tight harmonies, rhythmic doo-wops, and soaring falsettos. Their Munster concert included classics such as Oh What a Night (Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons), Under the Boardwalk (the Drifters), Sweet Caroline (Neil Diamond), The Lion Sleeps Tonight (the Tokens), and others that the crowd was happy to sing along with.

More than a concert, the show included comedic interplay and audience interaction. Audience members Joyce, Barbara, and Tony were good sports about being chosen to join the Boys onstage and either sing or be sung to, or about.

The 7 p.m. concert included a 15-minute intermission and ended just before 9 p.m. The quartet thanked the crowd for supporting live entertainment and welcomed audience members to join them for photos, autographs, and CD purchases in the lobby.
