Information provided by the Lansing Police Department
LANSING, Ill. (October 8, 2022) – On October 7, 2022, at approximately 6:45 p.m., Lansing Officers were dispatched to Planet Fitness at 17675 Torrence Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, they located a male subject with gunshot wounds to the body.
Lansing Paramedics arrived and the male succumbed to his injuries on scene.
The Lansing Criminal Investigations Division and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the incident. Lansing Police and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigators gathered evidence from the scene.
