LANSING, Ill. (September 17, 2022) – On Friday the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 1,153 individuals in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 145 patients were in the ICU and 49 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 3,733,902 cases, including 34,885 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois since the beginning of the pandemic.
