June 26, 1956 – September 12, 2022

Information provided by Smits Funeral Home

Mykhalo DovhanyukMykhalo Dovhanyuk, age 66, of Dyer, Indiana, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Halyna Dovhanyuk, nee Boiko, loving father of Roman Dovhanyuk and Natalia (late Brent) Torrenga, cherished grandfather of Tiffany and Victoria, and dear brother of Vira and Halyna.

At age 66, the kind and open heart of a cheerful man, a beautiful soul, and a good doctor, suddenly stopped. For many years of his work, Mykhalo Dovhanyuk has proven himself to be an expert and a sensitive and compassionate colleague and doctor. He did his job honestly and conscientiously. He used well deserved authority in his team and was loved by his patients. There are not enough words to convey the sadness and pain that the black wing touched not only the family, but also other people who knew Mykhalo Dovhanyuk. He was a kind, talented man, wise manager, and expert of his business. Keep only bright memories of him and we will remember him always. We mourn with you, but the fond memories of those who left good deeds and lived their lives honestly will always be stronger than death. May the memory of Mykhalo Dovhanyuk forever remain in the hearts of loved ones and acquaintances, and God give him eternal life and peace. An eternal memory! May the merciful Lord rest his soul in his heavenly abodes, where the righteous rest.

The Mayor and City Council of Khorostkiv (Ukraine), the deputy corps, and the executive committee express their sincere condolences to the family on this irreparable loss — the premature death of the Perennial Chief Doctor of the Khorostkiv Hospital.
