Red Wolves win postponed football game over Meteors, Soccer ties with Eisenhower

LANSING, Ill. (September 12, 2022) — Below are the most recent scores for the TF South Red Wolves:

Football

Saturday, September 10

Opponent: TF North High School

Result: TF South beat rival TF North 27-10.

After Friday night’s game was postponed at halftime due to public safety concerns, the Red Wolves and Meteors met again on Saturday to finish their game.

Tommy Rolling scored on a 16-yard run in the first quarter on Friday night. On Saturday, Quarterback Christian Streeter ran the ball in from the 1-yard line before completing a two-point conversion pass to Dion Hayes. Seneca Smith also scored in the third on a 4-yard run. In the fourth quarter, Brandon Woods scored on a 37-yard catch from Dion Hayes.

On defense, Jaylen Taylor and Trayvonne Roberts each had an interception while Jacob Foster notched two sacks.

TF South’s next game is on Friday, September 16 at Oak Forest.

TF United Girls Swimming

Thursday, September 8

Opponents: Tinley Park High School

Result: TFU lost to Tinley Park 96-30.

Volleyball

Thursday, September 8

Opponent: Oak Forest High School

Result: TF South fell to Oak Forest (25-18, 25-20)

Nyrobi Moore lead the team with 10 kills. Racquet Murphy had five blocks, two kills, and seven serve points. The Red Wolves’ overall record is 4-6 and 0-3 in conference.

Boys Soccer

Thursday, September 8

Opponent: Eisenhower High School

Result: TF United tied with Eisenhower 3-3.

Giovanni Melgoza scored two goals in the game, with Adan Cabrera netting the third. Benjamin Gonzalez and Giovanni Melgoza each notched an assist in the game. Oswald Mendoza had five saves in goal. TFU is now 4-3-1 overall and 1-0-1 in conference.

Girls Tennis

Thursday, September 8

Opponents: Oak Forest High School

Result: The Red Wolves lost all five of their matches to Oak Forest.

Boys Cross Country

Saturday, September 10

Opponents: Reavis High School Rams Invitational

Result: Three TF South runners took home awards on Saturday: Kenan Maxey, Rodrigo Cortez, and Austin Hewes.
