Henrietta Barnes (nee Veenstra), age 104 of Lansing, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.
She is survived by her son: Bob Barnes; grandchildren: Brenda, Melanie, Mark Jr., Charles, Brian, Sheri, Earl, and David; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law: Carol Barnes.
Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Marcus Edward Barnes; son: Mark Barnes; and daughter-in-law: Alice Barnes.
Friends are invited to visit with Mrs. Barnes’ family on Saturday, September 10, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Her Celebration of Life service will be at 6:00 PM with Rev. Michael Eberly from the Cornerstone Church officiating. Mrs. Barnes will be laid to rest in Skyline Memorial Park in Monee, IL. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in her name to The Gideons International.
Mrs. Barnes was a member of Cornerstone Church (formerly 1st Baptist Church of Lansing).
