TF South Boys Cross Country runs well at Erfert Park, Girls tennis gets win over Bremen

LANSING, Ill. (September 7, 2022) — Below are the most recent scores for the TF South Red Wolves

TF United Girls Swimming

Thursday, September 1

Opponents: Reavis High School, Eisenhower High School

Result: Reavis won the tournament (174), Eisenhower took second (84), and TF United took third (32)

Sophomore Aaliyah Harb won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:21.01

Girls Cross Country

Saturday, September 3

Opponents: TF South ran in the Ruch Dust Invitational, with over 20 schools from the surrounding area.

Result: TF South took first place (38) over Crete-Monee (40) and Marian Catholic (50)

Boys Soccer

Opponent: Argo High School

Result: TF United beat Argo 2-1

TF United’s first goal was netted by Fawaz Olarinde, assisted by Daniel Gonzalez. The second goal was scored by Giovanni Melgoza, assisted Adan Cabrera. Oswaldo Mendoza made seven saves in the game. The team is now 4-3 on the season and 1-0 in conference.

Golf

Tuesday, September 6

Opponents: Evergreen Park, Bremen, and Eisenhower High Schools

Result: TF South took second place overall. (Evergreen Park: 158, TF South: 184, Bremen: 195, Eisenhower: 226)

TF South went 2-1 at Tuesday’s quad match hosted by Bremen at River Oaks (par 36) in Calumet City. The Red Wolves were led by frosh Anthony Gianoli (43), senior Ryan Avenatti (45), senior Nicholas Rincon (47), and senior Ethan Modjeski (49).

Girls Tennis

Thursday, September 1

Opponents: Bremen High School

Result: TF South bested Bremen 3-2.

Godiva Tordjo won her singles match in two perfect sets while doubles partners Mariah Smith and Rere Sonoiki, and Emily Cabrera and Kaylyn Imala won their doubles matches.
