Eugene Sheely Smith, age 91, of South Holland, Illinois, formerly of Chicago, Illinois and Nashville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2022. Beloved father of Donald (Mary) Smith, Ivy (Randy) Harrison, Scott Smith, and Christian (Marek) Taylor. Cherished grandfather of Donald Jr., Desmond, and Justin. Great-grandfather of Ayanna, Essence, and late McKenzie. Dear son of the late Charlie and late Elsie Kinnard-Smith. Eugene was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid golfer and participated in tournaments across the United States. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
