Two veteran Lansing firefighters promoted

LANSING, Ill. (June 23, 2022) – Two Lansing firefighters were promoted to new positions at Tuesday night’s Village Board meeting in a brief swearing-in ceremony in front of their families, the public, and Lansing officials.

Kyle Hasselbring

Kyle Hasselbring was the first to take his oath on Tuesday. Haseelbring held the rank of Firefighter but has now been promoted to Engineer. Hasselbring has been full time with the Lansing Fire Department since August of 2014. Hasselbring’s family was present to cheer him on, and his father pinned his badge.

Randall Wright

Randall Wright was the second promotion of the night, and took his oath to become a Lieutenant. Previously an Engineer, Wright has been with the LFD full time since September of 2012. Members of Wright’s family were also present to support him.
