It was too cloudy in Lansing for much of Sunday night to see the "blood moon," but Adam Simon got a shot of it in North Carolina. According to space.com, "A 'blood moon' happens when Earth's moon is in a total lunar eclipse. While it has no special astronomical significance, the view in the sky is striking as the usually whiteish moon becomes red or ruddy-brown." (Photo submitted by Connie Simon, Adam's mom)
