More of us

LANSING, Ill. (March 29, 2022) – When readers ask for more, we at The Lansing Journal always find a way to give more. Readers like you have asked for more sports coverage, more coverage of our schools, more local history, and more reporting on how our tax dollars are being spent.

In turn, we ask more of the core reporters on our news team. Quinton Arthur, for example, has stepped up to cover all three school districts in Lansing. Karen Abbott Trimuel has begun gathering more business news in our community. And Josh Bootsma continues to be the go-to sports reporter while also covering Police and Fire activities, local government, a variety of “feel good” stories, and anything else that no one else is available to cover. (All that in addition to his responsibilities as Managing Editor!)

Why do we keep doing more? Because we are committed to our readers— because we know this community needs more and deserves more.

But we need more of us in order to keep doing everything this community needs. We need more reporters. So I’m asking for more help from more of our readers.

Will you help?

The gifts you give today will be invested in adding more reporters to our team.

Because whenever our readers invest more in this community newspaper, they get more in return. More journalism. More news. More information. More connection.

With a little more help, we can do a lot more reporting for our community.
