Virtual presentation to highlight Association for the Wolf Lake Initiative

WHITING, Ind. (March 24, 2022) – The public is invited to join the Sauk-Calumet group of the Sierra Club for an online presentation on the Association for Wolf Lake Initiative (AWLI), which straddles the state line in the Calumet Region of southeast Chicago and northwest Indiana.

AWLI is an organization that convenes government officials, business leaders, and environmental organizations for the betterment of Wolf Lake, its natural areas, and recreational activities.

Speaking will be Michael Boos, original founder of AWLI in 1999 and director since 2004. Boos will speak on the history of the Initiative, its accomplishments, and the unique qualities of the Wolf Lake region.

Boos is author of Over the Line, a history of AWLI and its work to preserve Wolf Lake. Boos has worked as a journalist, author, and public relations consultant for over 50 years.

Zoom meeting details

The meeting will be held virtually on Zoom on Monday, April 11 at 7:15 p.m.

Respondents will receive a Zoom link via email.

All meetings are free and open both to Sierra Club members and the general public.
