Leona DeVriesLeona “Dolly” DeVries, nee, Ebbens, age 95, of St. John, IN formerly of Lansing, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 28, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Gerrit R. DeVries. Loving mother of Judith (Stan) Feekes, Gerrit H. (Dianne) DeVries and Robert (Sandra) DeVries. She is survived by a sister, Clara DeVries and a sister-in-law Tracy (late Richard) Heemstra. Leona was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Mary Ebbens, and by 12 of her siblings.

Her sweet demeanor and dolly looks gave way to her nickname that she adorned for years. She supported her husband as a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She was a great baker and a good cook and would share that gift with everyone. Near the end she knew that soon she would be meeting her savior face to face and would tell anyone that would listen that she was blessed beyond measure. She passed peacefully holding the hands of her children.
