TF South Dance earns third place trophy at state

LANSING, Ill. (February 16, 2022) — The TF South Dance team has ended its competitive season on Saturday, walking away from the IDTA State Tournament with a third place trophy.

After finishing second in the Hip-Hop division at the Villa Grove Competition earlier this month, the team qualified for IDTA State Finals. At State, they danced well and earned a third-place trophy, which the team proudly hoisted high.

Coach Vi Donals said that beyond the third place performance at state, the team made “great memories” this season.

Girls Bowling

Tournament: Lockport Sectional tournament

Result: TFS did not move on to the next round of competition.

After taking fourth at regionals the week before, the TFS Girls Bowling Team did not place well enough to move on to the state competition, due to some injuries and some bowlers not competing.

Coach Terri Bartlett said, “Overall, I was very pleased and impressed with the girls. When someone had a low game, another bowled an outstanding high game. They are a young team, they supported each other tremendously and despite the obstacles they faced, they finished the day upbeat with smiles on their faces and all still friends. I couldn’t be more proud of a team.”
