Laura J. Colvin, nee DeYoung, age 91, of Lansing, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Beloved wife of Frederick L. Colvin. Loving mother of Cindy (late John) Hobscheid, Fred A. (Marj) Colvin, Jeffrey (Linda) Colvin, and Amy (Doug) Allen. Proud grandmother of Laura Jo (Steve) Hacko, Carrie Jo Hobscheid, John Hobscheid, Lee (Susan) Colvin, Joshua (Angela) Colvin, Bethany (Nathan) Zirbel, Christopher (Jess) Colvin, Chad (Laura) Colvin, Eric (Jamie) Colvin, Jason Colvin, Shane (Aubrey) Colvin, Spencer (Hanna) Allen, Jada Allen, and Jannae Allen; great-grandmother of Joleigh, Alayna, Alaysia, Clayton, Joselyn, Braxton, Riley, Coby, Norah, Emily, Hazel, Oliver, Reyna, Brielle, Cheyanne, Grayson, Sadie, and Margo. Dear sister of the late Johanna Lorenz, late Carrie Haak, and the late Clarence R. (late Pearl) DeYoung. Aunt of several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Arnold K. and Coby DeYoung.

Funeral service Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Oak Glen United Reformed Church, 2244 Indiana Avenue, Lansing, IL with Rev. Paul Ipema officiating. Interment Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery – Elwood, IL with Rev. Ed Marcusse officiating.
