LANSING, Ill. (February 1, 2022) – The Lansing Public Library is encouraging its regular patrons to “Stay safe and read a book, or stream a movie!” as heavy snow dominates the forecast throughout Wednesday and into Thursday.

The library will be closed all day on Wednesday, February 2, and will open at noon on Thursday, February 3.

Item due dates will be extended to Friday, February 4, the Lansing Library said.

The library is encouraging residents at home to check out ebooks, eaudiobooks, digital magazines, or its Kanopy streaming service. Those without a library card can still receive access to online services with an online library card, available on the library’s website.
