information provided by Smits Funeral Home

Victoria “Vikki” Lee Belgrave, of Crete, IL, formerly of Tinley Park, IL, passed away on December 18, 2021.

She was born May 10, 1958, to Ronald Earl Belgrave and Julia Louise Ellen (Strache). Loving mother to Erik Hasenkamp and Alexandria “Lexie” (Andrew) Tauras. Caring Grandmother to Jameson “Jamie” and Elena “Ellie” Tauras. Sister to Sandra (Glen) Ransom, Timothy (Katherine) Belgrave, and Daniel (Janet) Belgrave. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Vikki graduated from beauty school following high school and spent her life as a hairdresser, makeup artist, and nail technician, including many years as a salon owner. Vikki never met a stranger and had a deep love of people, stories, art, and animals. She could always be found striking up conversations with strangers and making others feel welcome, or taking in strays and caring for them. She worked best with her hands and was skilled not only in hairdressing but also in art, pottery, macrame, and crocheting. Vikki put her children, grandchildren, and friends first. She will be greatly loved and missed.
