Kamil J. KarwatKamil J. Karwat, age 37, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Beloved husband of Anna Karwat, nee Syska. Loving father of Makenzie and Karter Karwat. Cherished son of Jan and Halina Karwat; son-in-law of Tadeusz and Magdalena Syska. Dear brother of Damian (Dorothy) Karwat; brother-in-law of Justyna Syska. Grandson of Helena and Maciej Baraniak. Kind uncle of Ari and Daliah Karwat. Godson of Janusz Marciniak. Kamil leaves behind his beloved dogs, Jaxon and Ettie. He was a very close friend of Ryan Larson and many others. Kamil is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family in Poland and London.

Kamil was born on January 3, 1984, in Poland. He immigrated to the USA in 1994. He befriended Ryan Larson which grew into a close brotherly friendship and continued on to this day. Kamil graduated Lake Central High School in 2003. He moved to Wisconsin before returning to Indiana in 2015. Kamil enjoyed traveling, cooking, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and anything outdoors. His greatest accomplishments were finding his soulmate and creating a beautiful family. His children were his world along with his “fur balls.” He was a history fanatic and YouTube addict. Kamil loved meeting new people. He spent his summer taking his boat out on Lake Michigan. His ultimate dream was to move to Costa Rica and open a resort/Airbnb. He was a car enthusiast; he especially loved his Audi RS 5. Kamil was loved by many, more than he knows, and will greatly be missed. For his wedding song, he specifically chose “I Love You always Forever”. You will be my always forever, Kotek. From your loving lovely wife.

Visitation Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 3 – 8 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Funeral Mass Friday, December 3, 2021, at 10 a.m. Directly at Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine, 5755 Pennsylvania Street, Merrillville, IN. Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens – Schererville, IN. Memorial contributions may be given to his children for their future education funds.
