SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (November 6, 2021) – The Art & Design Department of South Suburban College is pleased to announce a special guest artist exhibition of photographs entitled Amongst the Flora, by Lawrence Trantham in the Photo Four Gallery at South Suburban College from through November 19.

Lawrence Trantham is a 29-year-old photographer who has lived in Chicago for his entire life. He has been in love with photography for as long as he can remember. “It’s something about how you can capture the beauty of things and share it with the world, especially with weddings and portraits,” said Trantham. “I believe I have the innate ability to draw out the real personality of people. I like to find out people’s little quirks and capture them at the moment, especially during weddings, when everything is so stressful; I want them to enjoy their day to the fullest.”

The SSC Photo Four Gallery is open Monday-Thursday, 9–5 p.m. The galleries are closed on weekends and holidays. The public is welcome to visit art exhibitions and receptions at no charge. Temperature checks, masks and social distancing are required on campus. For more information, please call Pamela Planera (708) 596-2000, ext. 2211 or email at [email protected]. South Suburban College is located at 15800 South State Street, South Holland, Illinois.
