GARY, Ind. (October 26, 2021) – Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana is continuing to host many free performances this fall. A full list of the acts is included below:

Friday, 10/29/2021

Mike Wheeler Band – Council Oak Bar Stage – 8 p.m.

  • Mike Wheeler has a vast knowledge of music and a voice that’s reminiscent of the late Sam Cooke. From Jazz to Rock, from popular music to Top 40, he is a staple in the Chicago blues community. Mike plays and writes songs for a variety of Chicago artists including Nellie Tiger Travis, Peaches Staten, Sam Cockrell, Demetria Taylor, Big Ray & Cadillac Dave. Mike was inducted in the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame in 2014.

Ally Venable – Hard Rock Café Stage – 9 p.m.

  • With Heart Of Fire, Texas’s favourite new gunslinger Ally Venable is coming off the ropes of the pandemic swinging. Defying dark times and rolling up the amps, this fourth release from the acclaimed singer-songwriter is a record to rattle speakers and signpost better times ahead. “My vision was to really spread a positive message of love,” says Venable. “The world needs that right now.”

  • DJ Lil’ John is globally recognized for his remixes and production work during the 1990’s, but these days he has been making a name for himself in the world of commercial radio. On a daily basis, he supplies pre-recorded mini-mixes for Chicago’s Soul 106.3FM.

Mr. Blotto – Hard Rock Café Stage – 9 p.m.

  • Mr. Blotto is Chicago’s Original Jam Band, with 30 years as a non-stop touring band and over a dozen albums and nearly 4,000 concerts under their belt. Generational audiences are engaged and surprised constantly as the band breaks down norms and expectations by playing surprise albums in their entirety, or voyaging on complex musical odysseys. Mr. Blotto made it through the rough and tumble music world as survivors that now share their unparalleled professional experience and creativity in every show.

  • Cowboy Jukebox is Chicago’s 5-piece country rock party band — country music for people who love country music and for people who hate country music. The band plays top 40s country of the decades as well as a few surprises from the Pop Billboard charts all the way to hits of the 90s and 2000s.

7th Heaven – Hard Rock Café Stage – 9 p.m.

  • 7th Heaven is a Pop Rock band from the Chicagoland area. 7th heaven started in 1985 and is one of the biggest and busiest indie bands in the world. The band has released over 800 original songs.

  • Sandra is an Open Format DJ who has rocked crowds at Cuban Fest, Backlot Bash, Chicago Pride Parade, Pride North Festival, My House Music Fest, Villapalooza, Logan Square Arts Festival, Northalsted Market Days, and The Writer’s Bench: Battle for The Eagle. She is a resident DJ on Vocalo Radio Chicago and the resident DJ at The Gwen Hotel’s Tipsy Tea Party.

Infinity – Hard Rock Café Stage – 9 p.m.

 

  • Formed in 1985, Infinity grew from being not only a Journey tribute band, but one of the top drawing cover bands in the Midwest. Two-plus decades rocking the hundreds of local music festivals lighting up the Chicago suburbs each summer have put Infinity in front of hundreds of thousands of fans.

The Kinsey Report – Hard Rock Café Stage – 9 p.m.

  • The Kinseys arrived on the blues scene in 1985 with a winning formula, joining forces with their father to create a signature sound that mixed the traditional with the contemporary. Big Daddy’s rich baritone vocals, slide guitar, and harmonica playing reflected his Mississippi Delta roots, while the younger Kinseys added reggae, rock, gospel and soul to the mix.
