As part of The Lansing Journal’s ongoing efforts to increase sports coverage at TF South, we have asked TFS coaches to provide us with information about their matches/games. The Lansing Journal posts these scores and summaries multiple times per week in a “TFS Sports round-up.”

LANSING, Ill. (October 25, 2021) — The scores for October 23-25:
October 23
TFS Boys Cross Country
Meet: Class 3A Regional Meet
Outcome: TFS did not advance any individual runners, or as a team.
Coach Fred Seibel said of his team: “I am happy as the team progressed this year. The team’s behavior and grades were excellent, and they represented TF South in a positive manner. I am proud to be their coach and hope everyone returns to the CC program next season.”
Only seven runners qualify for regionals and the results from those runners are below: Austin Hewes (Jr)—61st place (19:48—Personal Record), Michael Chancey (Jr)— 67th (20:26—PR), Kenan Maxey (Fr)—69th (20:49—PR), Carlos Cervantes (So)—70th (20:49), Rodrigo Cortez (Fr)—72nd (22:00), Rashad Peeples (Fr)—73rd (22:16), Ben Gresham (Fr)—75th (23:01).
Seibel also mentioned since his entire competing team were juniors and younger, he hopes to continue improving next year.
