Note: The Lansing Journal received confirmation on Friday that Fox Pointe will be closed on Sunday, October 24, due to predictions of heavy rain and strong winds Sunday afternoon. “We hope to reopen to our guests on Monday, October 25th,” said a post on the Fox Pointe Facebook page.
LANSING, Ill. (October 22, 2021) – Scarecrow season in Lansing opened on Wednesday, October 20, at 4:00pm, when Fox Pointe welcomed visitors to view a line-up of scarecrows decorated by local families, businesses, and other organizations. Managing Editor Josh Bootsma and Melanie Jongsma chose to record this week’s video on location amid the scarecrows.

Families who come to view the scarecrows during Fox Pointe trick-or-treating on Halloween are invted to stop at The Lansing Journal’s table. Josh and Melanie will be joined by reporter Jennifer Yos and intern Landon Ford to hand out candy and talk with visitors from 2:00–4:00pm.
