LANSING, Ill. (October 7, 2021) – Lansing Fire Chief Chad Kooyenga introduced Lansing’s newest paramedic and firefighter Mike Hameister to the public at the Lansing Village Board Meeting.

Prior to starting with the Lansing Fire Department in July, Hameister had worked for over 15 years in the Crete Fire Department, working his way from cadet to lieutenant.

“We’re happy to have him,” said Kooyenga before he swore Hameister in.

The newest LFD member was joined Tuesday night by family members and old colleagues.
